CS:GO cases investment

I've noticed that some people treat CS:GO cases like investments, buying them in bulk and holding onto them for years. Some cs go cases have increased in value, especially discontinued ones. When a case is no longer in active drop rotation, its supply stops growing, but demand can still increase—especially if it contains desirable skins or knives. Take the Operation Bravo Case, for example. It used to be cheap, but now it's worth a lot because of the rare skins. Is this a good strategy? Do cases generally increase in value over time, or is it just a gamble like opening them? Is it worth stocking up on some instances for a potential profit later?

Some cases have indeed skyrocketed in value, but it's important to do your research. Not every case appreciates at the same rate, and market trends can change. The best investments tend to be cases that contain highly sought-after skins, especially knives, gloves, or skins from iconic collections. You also have to consider factors like Steam's economy changes or if Valve decides to alter case drops in the future. If you're considering investing, diversify your collection—buy a mix of older cases and ones showing potential. It's a long game, but it can be quite profitable for patient investors!
